The Beginning
February 17, 2015. I embarked into the virtual stock market for the first time. For my standards at that time, it was a successful day for me. My first purchase as a rookie investor was Nike, I decided to be "day trader" this had minimal payoff as I sold after the stock grew two cents. I "day traded" once again for my McDonald's purchase, it rouse three cents before I sold. My last successful trade of the day was when I purchased and sold CyberArk software LTD, this was where I made most of my money as the stock increased eleven cents from purchasing it.
My strategy behind purchasing Nike was only the idea in my mind that Nike is a successful company and there shares should increase. I did not take the time the to research how Nike was doing or even look at its graph, fortunately it did increase and I made some money.
My strategy with Nike was identical to my McDonald's purchase. This was my first day so I was still familiarizing myself with how everything works, by actually purchasing stuff was a lot for me. By believing a successful companies stock would increase without looking at facts was a good enough reason to invest for me. My strategy was justified as the stock increased by three cents.
I took to "day trading" and my gut instincts with my CyberArk software purchase. This was a smart move for me once again because the stock increased eleven cents. I did not make a lot of money this day because I was keeping my stocks for such a short period of time, I think this strategy was best for me on the first day because I did not know enough my companies and to stay longer than a few minutes would have been risky.
